He is watching a movie. 他正在看电影。（被看的事物一般是运动的，还可以说watching football等等）
I have seen many movies. - 我看过很多电影。（强调的是现在的状态。）
I saw her at the mall last Friday. (强调“看见”这件事，而没有关于“她”的情况。)

I love watching birds fly in the sky.
小孩一岁多的时候，就会模仿其它小孩了： A toddler will watch older children playing and try to copy them.
